Did I break the search engine? Find a bug? :)

Hit the search button at the top and entered "car on bricks"

and I got:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/mkivsupra/htdocs/vbb/search.php on line 1028

Other searches seem to work.

I get this all the time with multiple word searches.

I'm a computer numpty, but I assumed it was due to common words like 'cars' and 'on' and 'micheal' that was killing it:)

I suspect you're right, although I'd expect it to ignore car and definately on.

I've never seen it before though!

I think it's time to change the search engine. It's gonna hammer the server for a while but hopefully it'll get rid of the memory problems.

As long as it dont go off for months on end like the Supraforums one.

All done.

I don't think it's working properly now though Lee.

When you search for two or more words it does an OR search.

ie. a search for threads with the key words banana and qwzxqw will return threads that contain the word banana but not qwzxqw.

Is there a way to use the new search engine with boolean values?
