Had a phone call from SKY insurance this morning asking if i would like a quote as i tried to get one last year.

At the min im paying £2500 with A plan (ensign)

And Sky have come back with £1241 (ensign)

Funnily enough im going to cancel my insurance and re-insure with SKY.

Age 22 - All mods declared and insured like for like. Edit - with single and engine rebuild etc

Gotta love a bit of good news :D

Sky are cheaper for younger drinks,

:wtf:

Although, to join in the good news, I got a renewal quote from Sky of £630, rang Adrian Flux and got a quote of £460; Sky matched it and I didn't have to pay a deposit... just the regular direct debits

I ended up paying more for my insurance this year. But since last year my car has been slightly modified and my last ins co wouldn't touch modified cars. Whilst only paying about £80 more it's good piece of mind that I'll get like for like etc. Haven't decided on wether to do agreed value yet but i was very pleased overall.

My last ins co gave me a good discount for my extra driver training, whereas Sky don't but still good vfm for me.

I met the other Supra owner in the village he has a stock 1993 J spec auto totally untouched and he pays £630 fully comp. He's the same age as me (and a very nice chap too) so there must imo be some advantage to being insured with Sky. :)

Being the club insurer why dont they offer the best price possible to start with?

I don't think Sky offer Agreed Valuaton to new customers anymore - just existing.

I pick my new Supra up in the morning and have tried Sky, A-Plan and Adrian Flux. When I rang Sky I got a quote for £890 but was told they no longer offer agreed valuation.

Adrian flux have quoted me £789 with less excess, courtesy car, free windscreen, protected NCB, insured TP on other cars etc etc.

I'm going with them - they have more flexiblity and options on payments too

A-Plan have yet to ring me back.
