cheekymonkey
How???? http://www.driftacademy.co.uk/courses.html officer! Would recommend it to anyone on here... First time I'd been, so I was obviously crap - but one of the instructors took my car out, to prove the supra *can* drift well

cheekymonkey
SO CAN YOU DRIFT NOW???? this is the most important bit Well I wouldnt say I can now go onto a track and drift straight away but I can certainly do a lot more than I could before. I must have spun out thirty times and held a drift 5 or 6 times but with practice I should improve. Only problem now is that every time I see a roundabout I want to put the handbrake on! Flip
£300 in their car and £200 in yours... Gotta be cheaper in theirs hasn't it? I assume theirs includes tyres and petrol etc?
Blackie
spot on, sounds like a good day.
cheekymonkey
£300 in their car and £200 in yours... Gotta be cheaper in theirs hasn't it? I assume theirs includes tyres and petrol etc? Oh, undoubtedly - if you're looking for the least risky option go in their car - but I didn't take the Supra to save £100. I wanted to learn how to handle my own car. Their little MX-5's would have been a damn sight easier to drift in as well. Had a couple of scary moments in my car though including one where I ended up travelling backwards at a fair rate and my brakes completely failed to do anything. Pulling the ABS fuse seemed to correct that though.
Blackie
Their little MX-5's would have been a damn sight easier to drift in as well. . too true, theres no point in mastering it in another car
Flip
I guess not - might be nice to do the first lesson in someone elses car though! Certainly something to think about, I've had a few reports saying its very hard to pick up though - but I'd like to give it a go

cheekymonkey
Was very frustrating at times. But I think like a lot of things it will just take practise until it's second nature - much like learning to drive in the first place! But the feeling when you catch that first drift is just great!
