hi folks

i have my car booked in tomorrow for my fuel pump fitment and also the boost and temp gauge.

i bought a pillar pod from Miami to install them into.....now not that i dont trust the guys working on my car...BUT....can anyone tell me just exactly where they can feed wires through and where they should connect...am assuming the tempgauge is for the exhaust (could be wrong here:looney: ). i know what the boost gauge is for tho!!(quick recovery! )

pleez pleez - any info before tomorrow morning would be great....and yup - i guess i dont trust them that much LOL....it is my baby after all!!!:D

ps...think they will be ok with the fuel pump?? - that was rhetorical of course!:innocent:

cheers and thanx

If the temp gauge goes up to over 1100degC its an exhaust gas temperature gauge :) If it only goes up to about 150degC it's water or oil temp :(

Wires can be routed through the clutch pedal blanking grommet if it's an auto, or for a manual there is a hole in the wing of the engine bay that a twangy coathanger can route wires through into the driver's footwell.

If you have got an EGT gauge it's gonna have an EGT sensor with it and that needs to go BEFORE the turbo, i.e. in the exhaust manifold, otherwise it's figures will be fairly worthless. This is a dismantle-part-of-the-intake-system job, then a drill-and-tap-and-install job, finally a put-all-back-together-corectly job :)

Boost gauge just needs it's sensor teed into the same vacuum hose that feeds the fuel pressure regulator or the MAP sensor
