garetheves
A plan nearly halved my quote from Sky this year. Sky wanted £1400, im now insured through A-Plan for just over £800.
Mas
I went with Aplan this year cos they were by far the cheapest and offer the best service, ie; protected NCB included the price! not a fan of SKY really as I think they have good name for nothing! lui
Sounds like a £225.00 saving to me but do they offer a agreed value like what sky do as for the extra £30.00 that sky offer that service for IMO that well worth item to have. Also do you have a contact number or link as i might even see what they come up with when mine is due for renewal

Ian R
Does Aplan offer this service ???? They did but not at the moment they are working on getting it back again. So for me as a new customer Sky offer nothing extra than A-plan at the moment
Mas
Does Aplan offer this service ???? They agree with a base price and then on top of that they calculate all your mods and pay seperately for them! isn't that good enough?
stupra
I've been with A-Plan since i've had the Supra, they've alway's been the best by far for me. Their qoute for a single was under HALF the price quoted by Sky !!.
grahamc
i have my 2 cars with a-plan... no claims yet

rick001
Just been on to A-Plan and they cant beat my renewal from budget - they are over by £100+ !! Talked to sky last week and they could not beat budget either (£303 F/C + N/C/P from budget) Still think £303 is decent though
Cable
I got a reasonable quote off (£625) Aplan last week but I phoned up Adrian Flux today and they said £589 with agreed value.
rick001
I got a reasonable quote off (£625) Aplan last week but I phoned up Adrian Flux today and they said £589 with agreed value. Is that agreed value with A-Plan cos they would not offer me it only book price - less than 10 mins ago?
RedM
Aplan also told me that they don't do agreed value. In the even of a total loss you'd have to provide them with adverts for similar Supras in order to get the value of you car.

A-flux have just offered my £589 as well through Red Star Limited to 5k miles no guaranteed value but like for like on modifications same as A-Plan Decisions Decisions
rick001
Being an insurance layperson, i just cant comprehend why quotes are just so far apart who ever you ask, you never seem to get 2 the same!!!!
Cable
Is that agreed value with A-Plan cos they would not offer me it only book price - less than 10 mins ago? sorry, yeah Aplan without agreed value.

dangerous brain
A plan seem to be very good when it comes to single turbo modified cars. Sky was ridiculous when I went to them for a quote and no agreed value at the time either. Basically like others A-plan were half the quotes from pretty much all of the firms that would actually quote.
mwilkinson
I went with Sky this year again. As I was with them last year they honoured the agreed value renewal but it cost me £65!! 2 weeks later I had not recieved the paperwork for the agreed value stuff so I rang them and had to ask for it. What I did not realise is that I would have to provide them with MOT certificate, original purchase invoice, modification receipts and work reciepts, pictures, kitchen sink etc....... Last year all I had to do was send 3 photos and a list of mods??? The best bit is they can still refuse to agree a value!! I don't think the agreed value is all its cracked up to be. I think its A-Plan next year.
Pete
Those excesses seem a bit on the steep side to me? Is that just an age thing?
