gavin.starr
a while ago now i posted a thread about coolant and we all came to the conclusion that i needed a rad cap, under further inspection by myself i discovered a chip missing from the internal ring in the hole which the rad cap creates the seal on. so unsure if i need a new radiator now. the other problem which wories me more is the fact that the old hks mushroom filter needed replacing because it was all dirty beyond the point of cleaning. when i removed the filter element i noticed a large portion of it was missing from the finer filter element on the inside. im worried that this has been sucked into my turbos and done some damage. the turbos dont sound damaged and seem to run fine. would you recoment removing the turbos and taking a closer look to inspect the blades or just leave it and hope for the best. cheers in advance gav
kieren1234
First thing i would recomend is to get a completely different filter as the hks mushroom havn't got the best reputation.

Chris Wilson
Stock filter box, stock filter element. Got a Skyline here with a foam filter element, the turbos are showing impeller grit blastiing, and it smokes on start up. I'll put money on the "performance" filter element being the cause. Tricky-Ricky
You may find someone on here selling one or try jezzybabes, alternately Apexi or K&N filters are about the best.
