HTH Oh, one other thing...if it helps ?...the rad overflow tank needs to be relocated due to the FMIC install and the HKS way is to place it in the wing near/under the headlight (see below) which, I did not like as it's totally out of view. So, after my Toyota episode I got a 2nd hand Greddy rad overflow tank and this is now in the place of the stock alarm siren which, has been relocated into the front bumper. NOT sure how BLITZ overcome this issue ? Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs and a little OT well...but, thought it might help The R type core is bigger than the Blitz. The Blitz comes with a smaller Header Tank that can go to the side of the Battery

Guest Terry S
LMAO maybe you are just lucky Paul, or I am unlucky, the one I saw the fitment was shocking. I would be interested in the test results if they are about, because as I am sure you know, the size of the core isn't the most important factor. Post up a link if you find it. Syed Shah
For Fluidyne v PWR, there is a old thread on SF about them, which is worth a read.
Guest Terry S
On the PWR Paul, yours wasn't fitted by Brian down at Dudes place was it?? Reason I ask is that Brian said that the PWR was a bitch to fit too??

Reason I ask is that Brian said that the PWR was a bitch to fit too?? It took about 15 mins - LOL! Even I could do it! Mind you dont forget I had tranny cooler etc - so no pipes to worry about there getting the old one out etc. Old one out - off with the shroud - fit onto the PWR and back in again - holes lined up underneath - all dropped in fine. Helps if someone there to guide the shroud back and move the hardpipe forward The brackets on each side aren't a perfect fit as the rad is so much bigger - but acceptable Loads of posts on SF - basically saying both are good - pretty polarised reactions as per normal http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=90613&highlight=PWR+v+Fluidyne http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40294&highlight=PWR+v+Fluidyne http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=74043&highlight=PWR+v+Fluidyne The previous issue seems to have been the ends needed cutting - perhaps they could have changed it now? Anyway - is there an issue here? I cant see one - both are good and do the job. BTW- the guy who put PWR together was ex-Fluidyne by all accounts! Guest Terry S
OK real simple for you, was your PWR radiator fitted by Brian who works with Dude?? If it wasn't then just say so, as AFAIK he's only fitted one, but I may well be wrong. I am really only trying to get an idea of how easy a PWR is to fit compaired to a fluidyne as if PWR have sorted the fitment issue then they may become viable. Thanks
Dragonball
I seem to recall me holding and Nicky moving stuff out the way - if that helps you!? But not what one would call a life changing event so it may have been the other way around. Even Dude might have been there! And I removed it and fitted it back in since! If you have difficulty in believing me on the fitting - then please take some time to read the SF threads above? Some are very pro Fluidyne and some very pro PWR - I happen to think they are both very good and sell both!

No i was incarcerated!!!!!! but i know Bri wasnt impressed with the fit as he said it rattled about and was loose with the stock brackets at the top , i did agree with him that the little bits of 1/2 cut tube on top of the Rad were a bit pony , he also said something about the bottom rubbers being to big a hole for the post on the PWR , basically he said it was not what he'd expect for the money !!!! but there again he is a Pikey !!!! dude
More to the point of fitment id be more interested in a before and after comparison of cooling , especially when giving it some stick as the ally one should be a lot more efficient . Dude:flame Dev Yes - I know - I was trying to be politic!! Who's to say he is wrong for a bit of aluminium? LOL! I think he is right! No - it doesn't 'rattle around' I did remember to do the bolts up (LOL!) - not as good a fit as the fluidyne perhaps - but then it does carry loads more cooling fluid However it did cool very well indeed and was easy to get in and out Terry - whatever...
