Ah bugger, what a shame after all the work that’s gone into the car :(

Be careful with that neck though, sometimes injuries don't show up for days or weeks after the accident. Also, their insurance company will probably want to offer a quick compensation for the injury, do not accept their first offer!

A mate of mine had a similar accident (hit from behind at 50mph), he was okay the first few days but was in agony for a few weeks after and lost 3 weeks work IIRC. He got a good sum in compensation out of them for the loss of earnings (he was self employed) and for the pain he went through.

actually we were in the 50mph roadworks and the traffic ahead came to a stop but the idiot behind was not paying attention at hit me while i was stopped. Its not like i had to brake suddenly but he must have been on the phone or picking his noise.

quick update, i was advised by a mate to not let the insurance company's garage collect the car incase they wouldn't let me buy it/have it back. Good point, so i called the other blokes insurance they said call that garage they recommended. Gave them a call and they said " well if its written off we usually get a scrape yard to pick the car up", i thought nah im not having that, so we talked for 20mins and i was explaining there are not many single turbo aristo's the country and the parts are worth more than his insurance company will offer so they agredd to send someone out to make a report rather than then have my car. At least i'll still been in control of my car and the insurance company will have a report from the company they recommended. You have to watch these sly sods they try anything to rob you blind.
