Robert
The aristo was hit from behind on the m1 and now im gutted. Both rear quater panels are creased, so is the roof. The rear door just barely close and the tranmission doesn't shift right. Anyways im going to lay down as i had to go in the ambulance for my neck. -robert-

Robert
I've got a doctors appointment at 5pm, got the report from the ambulance people. I'll get some pics up now.
SteveL
Make sure you get seen by the doc and a chiro as well, hopefully doc will refer you to one. My wife had the same thing about 3 weeks ago... definately get checked out as these kind of injuries don't manifest for some time. If its a no fault accident ( certainly sounds it ) then the cost of chiro is claimable from the other party. ( as is any mileage etc for visits - so keep tabs on everything you do )

Robert
also i've just heard back from his insurance and they are sorting a hire car out for me and they are collecting the car and seeing if its worth fixing. If they say its not i'll get it back and take it somewhere and seen to. The car isn't really drivable as there might be a transmission/prop shaft problem. Pete
Sorry to hear that Rob. I'm surprised the impact has gone through to the roof and caused drive alignment issues. I'd have thought the rear quarter really ought to have crumpled better than the pics show to absorb the to do this kind of damage?
Robert
im not sure tbh Pete, i've got to wait for the car to be collected and then they will let me know what is going to happen. If it turns out to be that its a write off then i'll just buy her back and break her, plenty of money to be made out of it as she has some very nice bits. Branners
normally if you put this in the hands of an accident management company they will give you a comparable car. You should be able to push their insurance company to give you the same deal. So dont accept some crappy Micra, tell them its got to be an executive car along the lines of a 5 series and see what they say. JB
Jake
Unlucky Rob It'll be a write-off for sure if the roof is creased. At least you're not too badly hurt.
