Im interested in rev limits because I want a 200mph car.

I am looking at keping the rev limit to 7000 in all gears except 6th.

So when Im gunning it (not in this country ofc lol) 6th gear and a UK rear diff will give me the top end I near, I estimate 7150 will be all I need (assuming the gear rations of a UK rear diff and power loss thro the drivetrain/prop).

I assume this can all be done thro the Autronic on board.

We'll see.

I used to have a T88 (Whitelightning) - shes sold.

I love track work - I wish I was better though :)

Im not sure drag is for me (All thoses dresses and lipstick lol !)

I like the top end characteristics of the car more.

What I really want to be is a skilled driver, not a boyracer.

I assume most of us aspire to that. :)

For the top end if you want to raise the rev limit I would have thought that an off the shelf kit that has been developed by someone else would be the only way to go. We sometimes go through zillions of spring rate iterations (both in simulation and in hardware) before we get the right tradeoff between cam profile, spring surge, valve float and tappet wear. I doubt by swapping out just the valve or just the spring or just the cam would end up with something durable.

For the bottom end it's pistons, rods, rod bolts, and possibly big end diameter and bearing material. Ancilliaries, as Alex said. The oil pump and PRV may need some attention too.
