DaveK
I used to have surround sound, but my receiver packed up and I haven't bothered since. Although I still have the speakers, I think I'd rather replace the rears anyway. What do people recommend? I know some come with wireless rears which I would very much like - however, I don't really want a £99 system from currys. Ideally, I would run the outputs for the front speakers into my hi-fi amp and use my existing speakers (this is what I did before). I also want to connect Sky and my PS3 through the receiver. I assume I will probably buy speakers / receiver as separates - I will probably use the centre speaker I previously had anyway. So I would need rears and the receiver as a minimum - but will buy more if it makes sense to buy a set of speakers. But they can't be too big, since I already have the hi-fi ones. Not sure on budget - but I guess £1K max.
Alan999
Have a look at some of the Bose stuff, I have an older one in the front room and its great. I think that was about 1k can get some really smalll speakers for it and have it working in different rooms at same time.
