GeordieSteve
Really p***ed off now. 2 month ago the IT dept at work were told that everyone was being put on the same wage scale which meant quite a sizable raise. I've just been out this morning and bought a house as my rise is due in the next couple of weeks only to be told I'd be getting FAR less than everyone else (excuse being I haven't been there as long as the others). Now if I was told this in the first place I'd NEVER sign a 3 month contract. They told me 100% I'd be on X amount and now I've lost the house. GUTTED! grahamc
thats horrific... I am in the same place as you... house waiting, been told we are getting substantial increases, just waiting to hear how much!
penguin
substantial increases usually mean 3 - 5 %
GeordieSteve
So insulted. The conversation started with: "well done... you have a target SLA of 93% and so far you got 95% and 100%" then ended in: "yeah well we lied... your not getting what we told you you were" I'm the soft touch see... don't mind going out my way to help people which they see as a weakness. I'm working in Manchester Thursday as I'm the only person who will do the travelling without taking time in lue
GeordieSteve
substantial increases usually mean 3 - 5 % Not in this case. This was an out of the blue increase to put everyone on the same level so everyone was on an equal level. Basically I'm down by 4k to every else.... oh and they get call out so there's another 4k
Supragal
Stop doing it then, being the soft touch I mean. I am so fed up with companies expecting you do use your own mobile phone or your own time to do stuff, sorry, it's a job, do it well but it's not all give give give. Pete
I've just been out this morning and bought a house That was very silly. Your employers are clearly asses. you really ought to get everything in writing.

mr keef
Steve this is exacly why i walked after 13 years at the same job,the place i worked for was being managed by a complete liar and muppet, then it got taken over by a dutch firm who were basically a complete joke,so i cut loose, its a shame because it was a great firm to work for at one time.and now its built on false promise and lies from a manager who simply can't manage. The problem is they basically do what they want these days and seem to get away with it.
