THOR Racing
Anyone know is missing a sheet please let me know. I was in a rush and maybe didn't print all required sheets at the time. The plots are 1: Boost 2: Torque/BHP 3: AFR I need a bit of time to respond to such requests and also the registration number. Paul Laing
You were hitting 1.5 bar Chris, thats what Pete said lol I was peaking just under 1.4 bar Suprised we've had no word on here from Dude, apparently 450-500bhp couldn't be achieved......... I'm sure my boost gauge reads more like 17 psi though.
ChrisB
that was the first run paul where the thingy blew off the bottom of the wastegate, it was more controlled after that but i dont know what boost it ran the other time and when it hit the top power? ChrisB
Paul have you a scanner? wouldnt mind a look at your graph mainly afr one to see what mine should look like lol
Paul Laing
Not sure if i have a scanner, might have to do it at work tomorrow. But will definetly put it up here. My AFR was 12.??? and 10.??? but will confirm tomorrow. I need a SAFC 2 to add more fuel to mid range as it was slightly lean, nothing to worry about but i could get more power if i had more fuel at mid range. ChrisB
cheers paul just mine and yours run about the same mods so would be nice to see what it should look like instead of that lovely scribble that ive got
Paul Laing
Your AFR was higher than mine i think, maybe that might be the problem? Mine was 12. something and yours was 15. soemthing i think, not sure if it makes a difference, theres no technical people on here to say because they won't post now that 450bhp has been prooved lol
ChrisB
mine was 18.8 when it had no fuel at all mate its the reason that it was that short that is the problem lol
michael
My old AFR plot for your reference Chris.
dandan
To be 100% safe you don't really want to be much leaner than 11.5:1 under boost. Could stretch a little higher in search of more power but I'd prefer the safety margin offered by running a little richer. Paul the 450 has not been "proved". You got 382.9 at the hubs. Still pretty good though..about 80-90bhp higher than some of the stock Supras I've seen at Thor in the past.
Paul Laing
Not really bothered about flywheel figures, just going off what Pete said on the day mate. How could you prove flywheel figures? Paul

Paul Engine Dyno Is THE only way to prove Flywheel power without guesing drivetrain losses...But not many peeps want to pull their motor out..so we shall just have to make do with the Guestimate theory
Guest Rays the roof
Great to see all those nice TT's in one place and guys at Thor were great, (though they don't answer the phone!!!) even when I spilt a cup of coffee all over in the testing booth Will post up the Video once Colsoop gets chance to host it for me! Did managed to find Prodrive, when trying to locate Thor. Might be worth trying to organise a day there next year.
