Matti85
Since i will remove first cat, and have 3" all the way, fitt an FCD and hoppe to see 1-1.2 bars. I bought Denso Iridium IK24 since coolder plugs is a must, but k now when im reading about all the people that use other pluggs, they gapp them from 0.7 to 0.9mm, the IK24 should be left alone y say, but they came pregapped at just 0.4mm ? How come the others need to gapped so much more ?
Mas
This might be of help mate http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41927
Matti85
That guide is the reson i bought the IK24s, but now when i have them infront of me i see they are gapped to 0.4mm and all other brands is atleast 0.7mm or more. Quote from the FAQ "if you go below 0.6mm and still have a miss-fire on boost I would suggest there is another problem not related to the sparkplugs" I take this as no spark plugg regardless brand and make should not be gapped below 0.6mm atleast not for our BPU cars, so again the IK24 comes pregapped at 0.4mm and should be left alone so why is that ? Thats my question Had the camera close by so took a pic of them
Mas
I know it says leave the gap alone but I also heard Denso iridium can break the ceramic therefore can drop into the cylinder! not much of help I know mate but I'd make sure I have the right ones/gapped correctly if I was you! I'm sure someone will come with a proper answer soon

Alex
IK24's will be fine - just don't fiddle with them first As for the break up's if you're fueling isn't right then it's a risk, but no standard car running 1.2bar should see any issue's
Ewen
The 0.4mm figure refers to the diameter of the iridium centre electrode, not the gap.
