Cable
I would like to go again this year but I'll be keeping an eye on the weather. If it's not raining If you do go I highly recommend watching the B1-B Lancer take off, absolutely fantastic! There's also a Mil Mi-24 hind flying this which would be cool to see... SupraStar 3000
Was reading in Flypast magazine that a P-38 is flying over from the US to take part in the Flying legends display at Duxford today. NOW thats a sight I would love to have seen.
Branners
had the pleasure of driving to Norwich today and went past Duxford. Saw what looked like 4 Lightnings doing a flypast and set of rolls. Great viewing. JB
SupraStar 3000
Duxford FL is the best airshow in the world. Been twice and and loved it. Fast jets are fine but the sounds made by WWII warbirds is awesome.
Branners
Duxford FL is the best airshow in the world. Been twice and and loved it. Fast jets are fine but the sounds made by WWII warbirds is awesome. the spitfire noise is still amazing. One of those huge yank fighters from WWII went over me once and you just couldnt help standing in awe. But then I have also been snuck up on by a Harrier at the old Maratime Open Day and that was quite something too. The announcer said it was coming in from the sea but it actually came in behind us on full throttle in hover mode. Awesome. JB
SupraStar 3000
My most memorable airshow was: International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, 24 july 1993 http://www.parlier.com/web_resources/migflames2.jpg Now that made a bang! Was standing right on the crowd line too.
