Ewen
His age really depresses me though. So does Wimbledon...the oldest of the four mens finalists is Federer at 25 ffs. The oldest by four years too fffffffs:(
imi
I like him. Confident, brave and sexy eyes. How quick was Raikennen, had he not messed up the last corner he would have clearly been on pole. Glad he did.. ROCK ON MCLAREN
SupraStar 3000
WOW!! Gone are the days of 'Formula Yawn' with the Red Barron. This guy is good!!! REALLY GOOD!!! I can't wait for the race!!! WOOHOO Is it wrong to love a man so much?
juanchan
ROCK ON MCLAREN Not a big fan of Ron Dennis. He's definitely too smug for his own good. Lewis' pole-winning lap didn't seem that impressive from what they showed of it, so if he's got more to come tomorrow, should be a waltz to the finish line! Gaz Walker
I didn't see it but I had the live timing up on my laptop and you could *see* he was on a flyer. From fifth to first in one lap, every sector was better than everyone else by a margin. The boy has skills Gaz.
Wayney
Do you mean Lewis?? Well done that man. Still not sure whether I like him or not though, seems a bit smug to me..... H. No my mate is a proper Karting veteran, and he know Lewis very well from karting days, where they used to race side by side! He's a proper race bred lad and raced on a shoe string! His history is funny, at the age of 9 he wrote a letter to Ron Denis (boss of McClaren F1) saying that one day he wanted to race for him and only him!! Ron was so taken back by it he sent one of his engineers to watch him race. Thats one of his top lads to watch a 9 year old race. They was so taken back by this passion and belief that they sponsored him, and have developed him for the last 12 years, to what he is today! So he deserves it, hes worked soo dam hard! I only wished I had done the same and wrote to Frank Williams saying the same thing!! Do u reckon he'll sponsor a 28 yr old!!

imi
Hard work always pays off.....seems like he has great family support that will help keep him grounded. As to all the success that he is enjoying, it is well deserved. About time we have a great British world champion again. I do see slight resemblances to senna in the way that he drives.....only time will really tell how good he really is. So glad that Mclaren (Ron Dennis) have created and moulded a driver that is a perfect match of man and machine - I think its a world's first for F1. Glad to Mclaren leading from the front. About time we have a great British world champion again. i am a bit worried about all the partying - hes been pictured alot with p diddy in the papers this week - hopefully he doesnt turn into another irvine - or raikonen for that matter. i know mclaren have banned him from going out with mr diddy so they are obviously concerned too.... Wayney
Its gotta be hard on Ron Dennis, not to take sides and favor one drive over another! But in one corner he has double would champion Alonso who hes been trying desperately hard to get in his team for 2 years! And in the other corner is Hamilton who he's seen come through the ranks from the age of 9 to 22. Hamilton is like a son to Ron Dennis and secretly Ron has a soft spot for! But wot a driver Hamilton, in his rookie season to have to fend off double world champion Alonso as his team mate (and bear in mind your team mate has access to all your race equipment and data telemetry) and still be leading the world championship!! The only thing that separates the two drivers apart, is simply that the boy has talent!!!
hiten55
Hamilton is like a son to Ron Dennis and secretly Ron has a soft spot for! Secretly?? you must be kidding - its blatantly obvious - lol. rightly so too - hes invested A LOT of time into him so why not. Alonso knew what he was letting himself into when he signed the contract - he's just pissy because he's beaing challenged by a rookie. dont get me wrong - good driver - but man he whinges alot!! merckx
I've got a feeling that the McLaren have a lower fuel load, I hope Lewis gets a great start and Alonso gets past Raikonnen. He's got a great lead in the constructors and 8 points would be great if he cannot win, we'll see.
Gaz Walker
All I want to hear is the British national anthem right after the GP... don't care really who does it, but it would be better if the Spanish anthem wasn't immediately before it Gaz. Branners
Lewis came to my work on Wednesday to do a talk and interview session. Seriously down to earth guy and an absolute nut about his F1 car. He spent 10 minutes explaining the steering wheel buttons. Currently drives a Merc GL 4.3D, but they let him loose in the GL AMG 63 and he loved that car, especially the boot space apparently.
