hiten55
all turbo cars have them, you just need to decide whether you want to hear it or not. recirculating ones you cant hear. if your going BPU (do a search) id say you definately need to uprate the standard one. by the way
dmx75
oh rite, but i thought that with dump valves the turbo is constantly running so that you dont have to wait for it to kick in(2000 revs then the second at about 4000) or is some 1 telling me porkys? Clarkey
if your going BPU (do a search) id say you definately need to uprate the standard one. No you don't for BPU. There is no real need to change from the stock recirculating one - except for a Whooshing noise. If you went APU (Single turbo) then you'd need one. No that's not it either. It gets rid of the build up of air-pressure in the turbo when the throttle is closed. Ian explains it here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35947
