Didn't get on the strip - but walked away with the handling circuit first prize :)

At least I managed to own that for the Supes !

Excellent, well done Steve!

Didn't realise there was a handling curcuit there! Is it something new for this year?

Cheers, I didn't know about it until Sat evening when I checked the timetable.

There was a coupe of quick 'little' cars there, so I thought I'd give it a go.... didn't think I do any good because they were setting some quick times. So I went all out and beat them on the first run by 1 second, then tried again later and knocked another 0.5 sec's off :)

Not bad considering one part of the course was only just wide enough to get the car through, and the slalom was a real tank slapper !

Great weekend really enjoyed it and was great to see the stand overflowing.

Great to see everyone yesterday :) Biggest turn out of Supras I've ever seen at Jap Show, didn't think I was going to get a parking space when I turned up late  Well done to all of us for making the stand look so impressive.

What happened to saying hello on the M1 on the way home? were you on autopilot?

Note to Mods - I have all the club flags! I can either keep hold of them till the next event (Suprapod 2?) or can arrange to get them to someone, PM me and let me know.

I had the cruise control on, so you're not far wrong :innocent: Were you following the white Supra? I went past you trying to get your attention but you both seemed miles away :search: You finally jumped out behind me and flashed your lights so I flashed my hazards :) Only two Supras I saw all the way home, I think :innocent:

It was a cracking day, some fantastic cars going up the strip and the supras flying up there did us proud :D

Really enjoyed meeting so many people again, new and old :friends: Not enough time to meet everyone so a good excuse to go to lots more shows next year :p

Seeing all our supra's on the stand made me so proud :innocent: what a fabulous sight!! And all so different.

I was at the Pod both days... Saturday for pleasure, Sunday business.. I was amazed at the turnout on Sunday.. I've never seen the pod so busy!

I ran a 13.6 on Saturday in my Mk1 MR2 and that was with a bogged down start... very pleased with that, my first time on a drag strip!! Mucho room for improvement as well, better tyres, better intercooling and more practice should hopefully see me in the low 13s or maybe high 12s... I shocked an Intergra owner by absolutely mullering him with my rust heap!! :D

One of my runs was agaist a Skyline with a parachute... I nearly shit myself when he went hurtling past me at the finish line at 140? mph +!!

Really enjoyable weekend

Cheers
