Lets keep the Toddington Mega Convoy to Santa Pod all together this year round !!! I will be leading the Convoy in my Baby Blue Supra After leaving Toddington Services there's plenty of time for all of us to gather back up together on the M1 towards junction 14 Newport Pagnell turn off 11.8 miles of it so no excuses to get out of line !!! Please try to keep all together due to last year convoy started to break up as members started to take the journey into there own hands & convoy started to break away !!! The direct route that I am using is M1 to junction 14 then onto the A509 which will be taking us through the very nice village of Olney. So lets all try & keep together steady speeds of 65-70 MPH & all try to keep behind me & no over taking me !!! We will be leaving Toddington Services 8.30 SHARP estimated time of journey is approx 45minutes & 29.2 miles. IN MEGA SUPRA STYLE Time of arrival to Santa Pod is 9.15 & all hoping to be set up on our club stand by 09.30-10.00. All try to keep together as there's plenty of time on the M1 carriage ways to make this happen. Let's all make this a big one & all have a great day out. lui
JapShow - Sunday 24th June 2007 - Report The first big event of the year for Japanese cars at Santa Pod Raceway was JapShow, read a report on what did and didn't happen on the JapShow 2007 Report page, with photos on the JapShow 2007 Gallery page. If you had your camera with you at JapShow 2007 then check out the Photo Competition page for details of how to win tickets to JapShow Finale in October. JapShow Finale - Sunday 7th October 2007 JapShow Finale Test Day - Saturday 6th October 2007 Since the first JapShow at Santa Pod Raceway in 2003 the scene has continued to grow at an astonishing rate which climaxed at JapShow Finale 2006 with the first ever European 8 second runs from a four wheel drive car. As well as Tim Webster's 8's, another eight cars put in 9 second runs to ensure the fastest and best Jap event ever. Unfortunately the racing at JapShow 2007 was rained off. The popularity of the Jap scene is hardly surprising as it comprises real street cars like Skylines, Evo's, Supras and Imprezas, rocketing up the dragstrip significantly quicker than the world's fastest production supercars. As the Jap scene emerges from underground car culture into the mainstream, 1/4 mile performance remains the ultimate badge of honour. JapShow Finale 2007 - What's On Run What Ya Brung Competition: Get your car on the famous track and see what it can do! £15 for 3 runs, with a full performance print-out available for each run. You will need to bring your driving licence to sign-on. Trophies available for class winners. Visit the RWYB page for more info. HKS Drag Series - Round 4: Showcase Drag Racing for Europe's fastest Jap drag cars. Witness 8 second, 1,000 bhp pro cars in action with thrilling heads up racing across 3 classes. Full Details on HKS Drag Series page and latest entry list on the HKS Competitors page. Most of the country's fastest import cars are now entered. Jet Car: Martin Hill and the crew will be putting the Fireforce 3 Jet Funny Car through its paces. This fire throwing beast is the fastest Jet Car in the world. Stunt Displays: Top UK stunt driver Terry Grant will be sliding and spinning his cars as he performs awesome stunts inside and outside the vehicles. Drag Demos: Racers from national Drag Racing championship classes will be making demonstration runs. Meguiars Show Car Paddock: Whether you've got a classic or modified Jap show car, if it's something special, make sure you enter it into the Meguiars Show Car Paddock. No need to pre-enter, just park up on the day. Trophies and prizes from Meguiars for the Top five cars. Drift Demos: The drifters return to the Pod with their incredible performances of tyre-frying, sideways action, precision control and astounding speed to show you what drifting is all about at close quarters. Off Track: Away from the cars there will be Traders selling everything from ICE to Bodykits, a Fun Fair with arcades, rides and sideshows, plus Pole Dancers in Fuelers Bar. There are licensed bars and caterers on site selling food and drink to suit all tastes. There is a cash machine in the Pod Shop where you can also check out new stock of replica Jap cars. Club Displays/Camping: Club display and camping areas are available. For 2007 booking enquires call 01234 782828, the first clubs to book get pitch priority, discounts available on large group bookings. View the club lists on the Clubs page. AutoTrader Cars For Sale: If you've got a car you want to sell, park it up in the Autotrader Cars For Sale Paddock, stick your phone number on the dashboard, and wait for the calls to come flooding in. It's FREE for both buyers and sellers! Dyno Mobile: The Dyno Mobile allows you to test your car for power and torque. For a fraction of the normal price of a dyno sessions you get a full run-up, with a colour print-out chart of the power and torque curves of your car, showing maximum power and the power band to use for best performance on the road. There is also the option to have your fuel mixture monitored at all revs to check if the car is running rich or lean at different engine speeds. MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT! - JapShow Test Day - Saturday 6th October Run What Ya Brung Competition: £20 for unlimited runs, don't forget your driving licence! The best times of the day will carry over to Sunday. Clubs Welcome: Camping available. Catering, Traders, and Bar: With DJ in bar on Saturday night. Camping: Free camping for weekend ticket holders. Cheers Lui lui, this is what is says on the santa pod website: Rain Off Value JapShow June 2007 The rain at the show meant that Santa Pod Raceway is offering a rain off value on weekend and Sunday Japshow tickets. That value is £6 in both cases so HOLD ONTO YOUR TICKETS and bring them along to the next event you come to (excludes track hire events, e.g. events not organised by Santa Pod), or call the Santa Pod Office on 01234 782828 to book advance tickets using your JapShow tickets.
