Havard
Hi H, Don't get me wrong matey, I do agree and without a doubt Jon is entitled to full compensation, but more importantly total rehabilitation. It's just like you said, people seem to be claiming for everything these days and even though their initial settlement offer may be good, they often push for more! My ex-girlfriend crashed her Escort SI outside my house about 3 years ago now. 9I was at home in my bedroom and she must of driven past and had a sneaky look at my bedroom - as probably naked tbh;)). Anyway, she shunted a guy at about 10mph. He came into the house and we sorted out all the details as she was crying and very upset. No injuries at al and the damage was minor. The claim was settled 7 weeks later for just over £7,000 and that included full repairs (circa £1000 I reckon) and the rest for the hiring of a courtesy car and his imaginary neck injuries. Twat. Agree with you though pal and didn't mean to come across as confrontational to jon at all! Cheers. Greg No problem at all mate!! It is a very difficult subject to correct in a few lines of text but I see your frustration. If it helps, I haven't claimed for compen' in my last two accidents...... Although my first 3 or 4 were quite lucrative........ Not that I have had a lot of accidents!! H.
Guest gzaerojon
Hi chaps, thanks for all the input the reason for this thread was to find out a bit of info about claims etc. i have never claimed for anything in my life (exept bank charges) and i'm not in this for a huge pay out, in fact i do get anoyed when i hear storys of people getting huge payouts from insurance companys for injuries they have just made up. with my job i get a large about of my salary for the amount of calls i do per day, and the fact that they only pay ssp for the time i am off will leave me with a huge financial problem. without knowing how long i will be off work for and the possible long term effects of my injuries i was after some info on the next step of claiming for loss of earnings etc. i'm still floating around on diazipam so hopefully i'll be able to move around a bit more soon. thanks everyone for there input regards Jon
