Conrad
Anyone ever had a tattoo removed? Any idea how much it costs?
juanchan
Would it be cheaper to change your current girlfriends name to that of the old girlfriend, who's emblazoned on your body?
DaveK
My g/f started having this done - although she only went to one appointment because some personal issues meant she couldn't continue. It was going to be pretty expensive. The one she wanted removed had green in it - and that's the worst colour to remove I think. I could be wrong - but I think she was looking at about £60 per appointment and I think they were telling her it would take about a dozen appointments. Oh - and it was very painful apparently. If its an arm or a leg, amputation may be cheaper. Whats the saying "tattoo in haste, regret in leisure"

The one she wants removed is OK. The one she thinks she might have removed one day is OK. The one she loves and will never ever remove is f*****g horrible, and I would consider chopping her bloody leg off.

DaveK
Just checked - it was about £60 per session, and they said 10-12 sessions. I don't know if size makes a difference - her tatto is probably an inch or two square.

Ark
Last I looked (a couple of years ago) laser tattoo removal cost about 10x the cost of the original tattoo (at least), hurt like hell, and would NEVER truely remove the ink. It works by breaking down the cell structure of the ink under the skin, so it could be absorbed by the body. It's only partly effective, and you end up with a staining effect on the skin. How bad that is depends on how lucky you are!

Terminator
I was queuing at the post office the other day, the woman in front had a weird damaged patch of skin on her upper back with some tattoo ink still showing. It looked a horrible mess.
