Gerry
Easy question... Are they a "legal" (as in MOT) requirement ? Cheers G
jim_supra
Yes they are.
SimonB
You can always do what I do and get some stick on LED ones for the MOT, then take them straight off again afterwards.
cheekymonkey
Personally I think it's a jolly good idea idea to have them. When I'm changing lanes / what have you I want people to KNOW!
JustGav
Especially on a supra, considering the front and rear indicators are not visible from a side view... I'd make sure you have them PURELY from a safety POV.
SimonB
I disagree. Why would you need to see the indicators from side on? If you were alongside you should not be changing lanes, and any other time you're going to be behind or heading towards and able to see the rear or fronts. cheekymonkey
He's in Lane 1, you're in lane 3, you indicate over to lane 2... it's nice to know he's not indicating as well. That's just one example! Also, if you had an accident and you didn't have them on, you could get major liability issues if your signals were being disputed. Turn it around - why would you NOT want them? It's a hell of a risk for something so minor.
