rik
Has anyone got these and can offer an oppinion? Seeing that Eagle F1s are on back order at most places, i've been recommended these by a couple of places as an alternative. I've seen a couple of reviews and they seem to score pretty good, but wondering if anyones had them on the supra Review SP9000 here.... http://www.ctyres.co.uk/tyres/dunlop.php
markrzs
i've got them on the front wheels and i've never had any problems with them but then, their not on the drive wheels. Michelin pilot sports on the back and I highly recommend those
Marco
I've used them for 4 years now, they're very good!
rik
Yeah, i need them for the rears on uk 17"s. They're very well priced against most other options like Potenzas etc. The Michelin pilot sports seem quite pricey, and i heard the mileage is not so good? Soonto_HAS_soop
I had some of these on the rear of mine, I removed them after 6 months as I couldn't stand them, they had excessive wear and seemed to have hardly any grip.
AdzC
I've got them on my 17s. 235/45/17 on front and 255/40/17 on rear. Not had any problems and would recommend.
Sheefa
Rik, go for a set of Falken 452s instead matey. Lot of members have them and most if not all, are happy with them. Rated very highly on mytyres and well priced too.
rik
Yeah i did a few searches earlier, but from what i read the Falkens weren't very good Horses for courses i suppose, everyone seems to have their own opinion.
rik
I've just read through some more old posts, and it really is tricky to get an idea. Someone really rates something, then you read somewhere else that it's rubbish. Those Falkens are way cheaper than most though. Found tham here for £88 each, http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b0s321p6210 But it says 94Y at the end. Does this mean they are Y rated as opposed to Z? rik
Sorted now, i tried a couple of local places that were recommended and found the same story with the F1s. One place in Norwich had the Falkens for £70 odd each so thought i'd give them a go
Sheefa
Good man Rik. Yes they are Y rated but they'll handle silly speeds still 'on the track' Good work. Let us know how you get on with them.
rik
Will do mate. The tyres will be in tomorrow, but i'm just refurbing the UKs i bought first. Maybe get them on saturday
SoundWave
I've had the Dunlops all round since I bought the car a year and a half ago. Have replaced all four since and I stuck with the same. I have found them to be fairly hard wearing but I don't think the grip is the best and they seem to quite easily spin in the wet. I have 275/40/18 on the rears which seems quite hard to get in other brands. When I next replace the rears (soon) I think I will look at either the Goodyears or the Toyos as i'm hoping the grip, especially in the wet, will be better... rik
Best order your F1s nice and early then mate. As said before, they seem to be on back order everywhere i've tried to get them from.
paul mac
Those Falkens are way cheaper than most though. Found tham here for £88 each, why do you think these tyres are so cheap, its because they are crap, no they wont wear out but they offer little grip as well, i made the mistake of trying some of these when i got a pair secondhand
Supra-Dupra
Far better grip than the F1 in the wet
G-NEMIE
Falken 452s on front 235/40/17 Goodyear F1's on rear 255/40/17 only steps out when i want it too
G-NEMIE
Good man Rik. Yes they are Y rated but they'll handle silly speeds still 'on the track' Good work. Let us know how you get on with them. up to 186 mph !
rik
why do you think these tyres are so cheap, its because they are crap, no they wont wear out but they offer little grip as well, i made the mistake of trying some of these when i got a pair secondhand Maybe yours were crap because they were second hand. Like i said earlier, it seems everyone has a different opinion, but i can't imagine they will have "little grip". I'll find out for myself soon though and if i'm wrong, well i'm sure i'll get over it

I'll find out for myself soon though and if i'm wrong, well i'm sure i'll get over it the tyres had done 100 miles so hardly knackered, to me the price says it all why are Toyo T1R or Pirellis twice or three times the price, as with everything in life you get exactly what you pay for, if performance is not an issue i can accept we are not all the same and dont mind the inferior grip then go cheap, but you may as well re-name the thread "which are the cheapest tyres"
