mikeyb10supra
Having issues decideing on which one will be best for going BPU? does anyone have experience of both?? Cheers Mike
cheekymonkey
SAFC II fudges the airflow signal doesn't it... do we even have an airflow meter in the supra? E-manage is a piggyback ECU so totally different kettle of fish, go with that!
JustGav
Emanage has a higher resolution compared to the SAFC. SAFC does have the cute display option though. Personally I'd recommend the emanage.

The EMU is about as close to a fully featured piggyback you can get, but I'll make the assumption mikey is talking about the EMB.

Whoops, I assumed EMU as that's what I was looking at, but EMB makes more sense in this context.
mikeyb10supra
but I'll make the assumption mikey is talking about the EMB. Bingo Thinking about it cant the e-manage rid the car of the factory fuel cut and Top speed delimiter as well?? could maybe save a little wedge there
Marco
I've got a SAFC-II in my bpu and it runs fine. Thats with 550cc's, resistorpack, uprated fuelpump, hybrids at 1.3bar.
JustGav
Whoops, I assumed EMU as that's what I was looking at, but EMB makes more sense in this context. The only reason for the assumption was because I'd hope mikey was/is wise enough not to compare an SAFC to an EMU

JustGav
Yeah, unless the EMB is silly cheap, if you are getting a new one, I'd suggest getting an EMU, however speak to IanC about which options you want. He be EMU guru...
Class One
Was there not some reliability issues with the SAFC though? I read an old thread of Ian C's where he had an issue with his before he went single it drove him nuts for ages. Have those issues been overcome? I know what I'll be choosing when the time comes. Soonto_HAS_soop
I'd go with the emanage, however I do remember some old hats asking why I went for the EMB when I was only BPU. It made for a much smoother transition through the twins and helped gain a few horses. My EMB has just gone tits up though, and one of the multiplexing chips inside has gone belly up, a 25p chip with minimum order quantities of £20, so I went out and bought a new EMU, will be fitting soon.... So, Emanage all the way from me.

Soonto_HAS_soop
Oooh, interested in selling the EMB.. It be needing a new chip inside though? Also had a new variable resistor input added to the board.
