JustGav
spaceballs? I have that on DVD, absolutely superb film... may go with that actually...
Ian C
Well Sunshine was good but probably more cinematic than DVD maybe, relying a bit on sensory overload. You can't beat Contact for some proper hard scifi, Primer for a surprisingly good headfuck, Serenity for space opera as it should be done, and Silent Running if you want to slit your wrists. Failing that watch Akira -Ian

Aah Silent Running, very good film, if you are patient enough to watch it all the way through, then cry. Quite relevant for today really.

Jive
Dune truly brilliant:) Hurrah, another fan If you watch Serenity, you need to watch all episodes of Firefly first, gives a great insight and buildup to the film.

JustGav
Convinced mel to watch Existenz tonight... see if she lasts more than 10 minutes of it.. Bladerunner is a classic (and do electric sheep dream??) I watched serentiy, but not having watched firefly it didn't really click for me. I'm busy acquring Silent Running... Uh good si-fi films....... Advent Horizan Empire strikes back (goes without saying) Alien AvP (a bit weak on the old story line but good action) Equilibium (or however its spelt) Matrix
