jamesmark
Went to buy a crate of lager and it had 2 different types of Stella. Imported and normal, now being a Scot and seeing the £5 a crate price difference I went for the normal (I checked the % level and both the same 5.2 as I would have went for the stronger) However drinking away at it and I can only say that it does not taste as nice, it is less bitter and no after taste which I like in my lager. Is it just me and my taste buds are on an off day or is there a difference?
Bobbeh
Not seen this normal stuff? I presume its brewed in this country? I'd just stick with the imported unless you're uber fussy

Havard
Does it say Leuven in big letter on the box?? Asda were selling this at Christmas and I thought it tasted shite tbh!! As previously advised. Drink the lot and then see if you want to fight with your own shadow, if this happens then it is the genuine stuff!! H.
jamesmark
Yes the normal stuff that I bought is brewed in this country, in Luton to be exact.

Homer
Ah, Wife Beater, my favourite I don't really like the (real) imported stuff, it's too bitter for my liking. The generic UK brewed stuff is smoother.

jamesmark
What it took you a month to drink the other crate it must have been shit No they had an offer on Holsten pills, the rubbish stella was 2 crates ago. I go through about 3 crates a month and it all started last year when I came back from hols as got a taste for it as lager was cheaper than soft drinks. OMG its bad news when someone only drinks your weekly beer amount every month Belgian stella is OK but some of the other belgian beers are way better. You want a beer that whoops your brains in fast try Jupiler. Not HP with your cacky special brew try grolsch kanon at 11.6% most dark beers would make old peculiar look like a poof at over 10%. Beer is not a drink out here its a way of life.

Pete
I had Heineken at the factory in Amsterdam in Jan. My god it was like the nectar of the Gods. Nothing like the shite we get here.
dangerous brain
I tell thee what they bottle it here in the green bottles you lot get and in brown bottles that us the locals get. I always assumed that what I used to call little green men were the best beers on the planet. That was until I tasted the brown bottle stuff. Now I have tasted a few different beers heineken has taken a back seat. but its still worth drinking some heinies
