JustGav
I am sure we can still take some photo / footage of the cars before they go into the ring.... And if anybody wants to risk it, I'm sure we can rig up a pinhole camera into the bumper which offloads to a camera in the glove box.... Besides I wouldn't want to be driving round the ring while filming, will make changing gears a bit difficult while holding a camera
JustGav
In all seriousness, I know camera's are banned on track, however I'm sure we can get some nice footage of the drive up to germany as well as the cars going in and coming off... I'm still in, even if I don't run, as it will be a nice weekend away

If your not planning to go back then what the hell..... Cheers It's only in car footage that's banned, you can take photos of the cars going round from one of the viewing areas. Plus they have no way of seeing your camera once you're on the track anyway. As long as you don't wave it around in front of the bloke manning the barrier. Same goes for the noise limit. As long as you don't rev it up in the carpark you'll be fine - there will be far noisier things than a Supra going round!

Grazer
I'm totally up for this - just need to persuade the wife (she clearly remembers that "taxi round the ring" video with Clarkson saying it is the deadliest race track in the world!!) garetheves
Not read the whole thread so dont know if this has already been mentioned so appologies if it has, but did anyone see it on Top Gear the other week. Clarkson taking a Jag Diseisel round in 10mins. Piss funny. Gaz
Guest Sakura
If all cameras and filming is banned, how come Clarkson got to film his numerous (pathetic) attempts to do the circuit in 10 minutes, blaming his failure on the fact that the jag diesel couldn't do any better - only to be beaten by a girl, on her first attempt at driving the same car? :D
Bobbeh
It is not allowed because they dont want people showing off on camera and doing stupid things, because like timing your laps will only result in you stacking your car. ie you're trying to drive harder to beat the time or look impressive. Its a recipie for disaster, especially on that track. You'll still enjoy driving around there in 12 mins, its just great fun and spending time in the car park just observing the machinery. Theres a lot more experience than just driving around there.
Guest Sakura
I do understand their reasons, which seem to me to be perfectly sensible. Looks like a fabulous track, though, and I would love to drive it.
