cheekymonkey
Had the back wheels off today to clear out a load of mud (about half a fields worth!) Found one of my shocks in less than ideal condition, see photo. The top metal ring is loose and the bottom plastic thing is snapped at the back I think. Is that the shocks gone then? The other side is fine! (pic 2).
Nic
Yes it looks as though it's lost all the hydraulic fluid, so it's pretty much junk.

Nic I'll still be going forward with the front upper arms just awaiting some other work to be done on the car, cheers
cheekymonkey
Maybe thats why your car sat so low against mine at the Reading meet the other day I think you're right mate. And I did notice my car looks slightly pissed as the driver's side rear must be lower than the passenger side now, or maybe I just need to lose weight At least it's a good explanation for my creaking and clonking noises... looking forward to a much better ride when it's all sorted as I don't think the suspension has ever been right since I got it!
