OK you youngsters...

I disagree. I understand how it's made and can appreciate the techniques used. It's still not proper music to me though.

You remember music, right? You know, with instruments and other old-fashioned stuff like that.

Good point, Jake. However, we both have a fondness for an old-fashioned band that could just as easily be described as unlistenable.

I like you lot more and more, Im gonna start hanging out here more often I think if Im getting classified as young at 30.....:innocent:

So how old are you Simon, and Rossie ?

I'm 32. I'm with Jake on the random noise though... ;)

As it happens Gerry I love Eurovision! The music's all total bollocks of course, but get a few mates round and drink heavily and it's hillarious. We buy beer from as many of the countries taking part as we can and then try and drink the appropriate one.

A while back I recorded hours and hours of stuff from the 'Alternative / Modern Dance' section in the Music Choice Sky radio channel. I then picked out the tracks I liked and put them onto CD. I've got at least eight or nine CDs full of the stuff and I admit they are amongst my most played currently in the car or when I'm just slobbing about. The problem is I didnt write down the artists / track names so I have no idea what they are.

I know Simon, it's on at the same time as Dragonball and you have to video it - right !

Sounds like great fun - that's why I sent you Scooch :)

Wogan is made for Eurovision....

So is anyone gonna post more classic gabba, or is this the slag off HH thread? :D It wasn't all chipmunks you should know.

I used to play Happy hardcore at a club in bracknell and my mate used to play gabber there, this was in '96. Man my life sucks compared to then..... Shall I start a thread about pills? lol

edit - I do agree about the chav element. Though for some reason, 95% of them are the friendliest people in the world at raves.

Im used to people slagging off HH, we're hated in the club world, too repeatative, supposedly its all about breaks and techno, dont get it myself though. I used to vacate Slinky's forum and always got the same on there. I have been following HH and Trance for about 7 years now, its still good, I just wish there was more tunes released, in fact anything new would be good. It all seems a bit stagnant at the moment, but thankfully a lot of the tunes hit the spot still and are in some ways classics........

I appreciate how you can look back and say your life sucks since then, as even if life is the best, happy, without that weekend messy'ness life seems so much slower.........my days are winding down now after 7 or 8 years but the more Im away the more I miss it.

Agreed about the people at Hardcore, they always have been totally friendly still, and thats what good about this scene, not like the pub/drunk scene where you can so easily get caught up with some drunken idiot accussing you of looking at his misses.

Who's up for a club Slinky trip to Portsmouth when it opens :D Cant wait, Slinky rules, and I need my home back. RIP OH

Im a bit the same, for the first 4 or 5 years I was never aware of what DJ's were about, or what the tune was as I went to the same place week in week out for years, I went there becuase everything just seemed to fit into place, we always had a good time, and its only been the last couple of years that I have started to take note of what Im listening to or who played it. The only way you'll figure out whats on your CD's is to get someone in the know to listen to it...........
