Jake
Would my FreeLander pass the MOT test without any rear seats? (Without the seats there's nothing to plug the seat belts into)
D8MOA
to my knolage if its not there thay cant test it. so if thay cant test it thay cant fail it for being faulty
Andyhannah
As far as i know they will probably fail it as the rear seatbelts cant 'work', i think as you are presenting the car with seatbelts that have nothing to plug into may make them fail it. Its like presenting the vehicle with a rear fog light that doesnt work. Hope you get a lenient tester. Im not 100% on this mate but i can confirm tomorrow morning ill speak to my old man for you. JamesG
I had a stripped out 200SX (roll cage and no rear seats) and that passed an MOT fine. The rear seatbelts were still in place. That doesn't mean it *should* have passed, but I can't think of reason why it would matter for an MOT.
absz
my mot licence expired 6 mths ago so not up to date. but i have passed landrovers before with no rear seats fitted. i have also taken our company landrovers for tests without seats to other test stations and they passed but with some hassle. it all depends on the tester really.
