Chris Wilson
Anyone got any head chop photos showing the stock ports on a 2JZ-GTE head? Like these of one of my scrap RB26 Skyline heads: http://www.chriswilson.tv/RB26_Head

Alex
I've heard of people doing this on the 2JZ....but then they keep the results to themselves It needs someone to make a financial sacrifice me thinks.

tooquicktostop
I have a damaged head and block, you are welcome to chop away as long as the good bits (HKS cams and HKS pulley's are given back to me
Chris Wilson
It's not a problem, I have a scrap N/A and a scrap TT head here, it's just I didn't want to risk band saw blades if pics already exist, although a hands on pair of halves is always better. I'll cut one when i get some spare time. Thanks.

Ian C
That exhaust port looks a bit poo, or doesn't the convolutions in it matter much? -Ian
dandan
I think you are seeing some of the section (or beak or divide) between the two halves of the port there Ian - just where the port divides from one to two. So... it looks worse than it is, seemingly dropping sharply en route to the throat area.
Digsy
I think they've had to dodge it up over that additional core under the exhaust. Possibly an additonal coolant channel? Does look rather odd...
dandan
The last two pics show what I am talking about clearest.
bolarbag
I see what you mean, what is the two channels for then, one for the exhaust gases and the other...?
