Thought those GT3s handled well, wheres RedM? ;)

Probably banned.?

You could see why the GT3 driver lost it though. He wasn't balanced enough and the back end went light suddenly as he crested as he wasn't on enough throttle. Or he was too fast for his own good and bottled it.

I watched Zonta and Villeneuve crash at exactly the same spot within about 20 minutes of each other. Although they were bottoming out at the bottom of the hill.

Looks like he took a lot of curb on the exit, which would have unsettled the rear. Combined with some steer angle, possibly lifting off the throttle, and the crest, it's only going to result in one thing. DOH!

I got to cut a new GT3 up not all that far for where Mr H lives afew months back. Lost it doing a silly speed on a slight bend and ended up into a house. I was going to ask him if I could buy his seats off him but it wasnt the right time me thinks.:p

Feel sorry for him, however its no surprise.

I have driven the GT3 and 997 Turbo extensively, and no matter what Porsche do, the pendulum effect will always get the better of them where there is significant weight transfer while under the influence of decambering surfaces. Hanging an engine out the back is always going to cause problems on everything but the flat.

Even the new turbo with its 4wd cant behave. On my first drive on a sweeping easy left hander @ 120ish the tail, provoked by nothing whatsoever except the road dipping a little in front of it gave the "wag" which felt like a soft sidewall under inflated tyre stretching then catching on the extremities of its flex/grip, which was very unsettling. If the car was 2wd I am pretty certain I would have matched this guy. After 40 mins of happy driving this car I was gutted, and glad to hand it back. Tried it a few times since, still cant get that well sorted Supra confidence with it.

All this drooling over very expensive Euro cars with their engine at the wrong end, I just dont get it.

Supra takes the same corner without any issue whatsoever.

Thats why I dont drive one, I'll stick with my very recoverable and much faster Supra.
