Guest chriswebb007
I've just bought myself a 3.0l n/a supra and its got one of these computer things, basically one of my mates had it first and said he got 160 out of it he then sold it to his cousin who only got 120 but he reckons he must of hit it or something!! Now i've got it it still only goes 120 but is there anyone knows what settings i should have it on so it goes quicker then 120?? Also there's a massive hole in the exhaust near the manifold could that be causing it??
JustGav
I assume you are referring to an apexi RSM by some chance?
JustGav
Can you provide a photo of a) The Apexi unit you are referring to b) The hole in the exhaust, I'd assume this is either for an EGT or wideband sensor which has been removed.
Guest chriswebb007
I'll try and get a pic later of the computer and post it up!!
Supra ST Myster
the apexi rsm does derestrict the car as i have it in mine for this purpose plus the other things it can do, you need to set the SLD to 170..
Tricky-Ricky
Can't tell you anything until you provide either the name of the device/thingy:rolleyes: and a pic of the hole in the manifold, but that will certainly not do the performance any favours. Tricky-Ricky
Don't know if the SAFC removes speed cut?? but putting one on an N/A unless tuned by someone who actually knows what hes doing is a pointless exercise.
couv3z
but least with a after market ecu you can change both cams and have it set up
JustGav
An SAFC will not remove speed cut or anything like that, it is simply a airflow fudger, and to be honest not really much use other than as a monitor, unless you are running larger injectors. JustGav
Well it was in the car when i got it, so don't really know what it does oh well!!! Provided it is set to zero, I'd suggest leaving it and just using it as a fancy gauge... (that is of course assuming the car is stock on the injector side)...
