An advert like this would really make me think about speeding again!! ;)

Speeding on public roads and putting other road users lives in danger is wrong, no question. But the fact remains, driving fast is an amazing feeling. How are you going to combat the thrills of speed with a naff advert like this?

I rarely use the little finger gesture to men as it is I think, an "I can't think of anything smart to say" insult. Hardly a skillfully crafted witty put down worth getting upset about so I can't see how the ad can be effective (unless fellas are really that sensative??!) ;)

You're right. My wife gives me the little pinky sign all the time and it never bothers me :D

I'm sure we have all seen a bad accident on the road which makes us slow down for all of five minutes, then off we go again !

It's one of the few thrilling things that we can do in our safe little lives...

I always look and think.......If you had been going a little faster you wouldn't have been there when that happened.....

boll** i hate the fact they always blame games and films, its their clause for everything

..but it's true. We are desensitised.

I think the campaign will be very effective if it catches on and people start wiggling their little fingers at to$$ers in the street. Hell, I might start doing it here for the crack! :D

Anyone got an animated GIF they can post up of the little finger so I can start putting it into JamiePs burnout lunatic threads? :eyebrows:

I came across something that really bugs yesterday and it is also a good indication how stupid some people are on the road today.

It was a lady in her 30's with boyfriend / hubby with her. Anyway, we were at a cross roads and the lights were on green for us (she was in front by about 3 or 4 cars), traffic was moving slowly but she was through the lights and past the junction for the other roads turning onto our road.

Anyway the lights change to red for us (we are still behind them) but this woman just stops where she is at the sight of this red light which is aimed at traffic way behind her. She is sat in the middle of the road, there is nothing in front of her now and there is a queue of people behind beeping at her. She does not understand what is going on and waits for the lights (that she has already gone through) to turn green.

I have seen this happen a lot and each time I am amazed at people's lack of common sense. Some people are just useless on the road and they mainly cause the accidents.

Rant over :)

Sorry I haven't made it very clear. She was well and truly past the junction about a minute before the lights turned red. She was actually next to the lights that face us from across the other side of the junction. I can see that I am going to have to do diagrams soon :)

I find hand puppets are the most effective communication method for me. :)

LMAO :)

Right then I feel a home movie involving my son's toy cars, some of his cuddly toys and a makeshift junction coming on here :)

Waits for someone to turn this innocent re-enactment into some kind sex video remark :)
