Sean1933
Big dilemma, its my girlfriend of 3.5yrs 21st birthday in August and I don’t have a clue what to get her. Ideally want to spend something that she can keep, but something different that’s not just another bit of jewellery. Looking to spend couple of £100 max really, as saving for a house deposite. Any ideas most welcome!

Guest newbury_ian
You could always buy her a piece of the moon. I mean they are saying property is the way to go!!!! And what are they going to do once they run out of land on Earth!!!

Guest newbury_ian
OH Yeah I nearly forgot!! Pictures would definitely help decide on the perfect present for her.
AndrewOW
Hi Sean. Cutting out the jewellery option makes this difficult! Maybe an engraved iPod, if she hasn't got one already.

Supragal
How weird I was talking to someone earlier and I mentioned how often this topic came up Yet again I will say... what are her hobbies?
Sean1933
Well...we already have the lube, no need for the rabbit as im always available when required, and the only time she listens to music is in her car....and she already got a pucker cd player for her last birthday. Im liking the idea of the pamper day, but would also need a little something else she can keep as it is a "special" birthday. Hobbies, hmmm....to be honest she doesnt really have many, loves shopping, holidays (going away next week together), and sleeping. Oh and those of you wanting pics, shame on you...however i will put one up when i get home, just to keep the thread going. lol Keepem coming! supra61
ok bud you like the pamper day but want something a little extra.so take option 1 and add a night in a quality hotel, country house,4 poster bed, roses champain, strawberrys, nice meal, room service, brekfast in bed.you did mention you wanted her to have something to keep, well she would always have her memories. good luck.;

Millsy
It's my girlfriends 25th b'day on Thursday - I've painted her a picture - costs about £20 for canvas then another £40 for paints etc. That'll last forever. You could always pay me some cash to do one for her!!!
ShamelessTT
You got the idea there Millsy, women love something.......you "Made" out the kindness of your heart lol, to show how much you must love them with all the effort and thought you put into it. Effort is worth more to most women over actual physical cost in my experience!. However there is always the money grabbing bitches!......... Millsy
For sure. Other tactic might be to get someone to do some nice pictures of the two of you. Could make them into a book etc and could sell it to her like this 'wanted something that we could look at in our future and show our kids how happy we were even back then and how beautiful you were.' Also, have tried to clean my g/f s car up as it was a bit of a state and got her a cd holder and new mats, plus on her b'day I have a bunch of silly stuff that I know she'll like plus it gives her lots of things to open that morning which she'll enjoy. Guess you have to figure out what would make your gf happy. Oh yeah, here's the pic I painted - only a camera phone shot, but you get the idea - meant to be in style of Hed Kandi cd art. Sean1933
Well here is the pic, with my ugly mug in lol...i forgot to smile! Liking the idea of the painting, only problem with that is i cant paint to save my life...hmm...maybe i should make here something, like you used to for mothers day when we were kids..... We already have a special album together for all our special moments, so thats that idea out the window...heaven forbid what i get her when she is 30, i will have long run out of ideas by then. PS: Millsy, that painting is awesome! Loving night in after pampering also sounds good. I know she has her memories, just need a keepsake of somesort...women, god there hard word even when they dont know it!!!
AndyT
Cracking painting Millsy. Love the colour. Sean, Don't envy you mate. You need to get it right too, your girlfriend is just too pretty to only get it half right.
flukey-lukey
A friend of mine once bought his girlfriend (for her 18th) 'the right to name a star' She got a certificate thingy stating what she had named it (I think it was named after her actually). IMO it was a bit lame and I don't think she was really pleased with it tbh. This reply is probably no help to you whatsoever Good luck! Women are difficult!
