Speedo died~

As I'm getting my oil problem looked after I thought I might aswell get my speedo fixed :D.

Now, as stated in my other thread, the speedo just went dead after I entered the highway, no signs of it happening before. Just like that. Does this happen to have anything to do with the oil leak or am I just double unlucky?

If so, is there any easy way for me to check the wireing, connectors or other things that might lead to this?

I am taking the car to Toyota as soon as I can, but would be good to have a general idea of things first, as I don't want them to fook around too much with my car.

Cheers!

I would open the dash up and see what's come loose.

Have you got a delimiter fitted? Chances are a connection has failed - should be pretty obvious, if you're lucky and the converter is behhind the dash.

Check out my how to fit a converter thread for a few pics behind the dash - might help. :)
