Suprash
What MOD's you got ???? Spec ??? EDITED: Just saw your sig, Im sure UK's are limited to 150'ish, not actually sure to be honest......but if you have had it off the clock then Im sure its been delimited with a FCD......??? Otherwise it might be one of those failing, electrical, good luck, hey Im just browsing.............I'll go now...........
SUPRACHRIS
I thought it was only the J spec that was limited to 155mph and of course the lovelly 112mph in Japan, the uk ones should go all the way unless you have another limiter fitted, but if you have gone beyond that before then
Jake
Originally posted by Ashley Willis Im sure its been delimited with a FCD Ash, You mean SLD mate. A FCD (Fuel Cut) has nothing to do with limiting speed. I also thought that UK spec Supras were limited to 155 as standard. It may be that Richy's car has had a delimiter fitted but it's now playing up. 155mph genuine speed would equal around 170mph on the clock. As a side note, I believe that J-specs that have had SLDs fitted to unrestrict them from 112mph (180kph) will still hit the limiter at 180mph. Can anyone confirm this? SUPRACHRIS
They are still limited to 155mph, but if you get a thor sld then you can interupt the orange wire coming from the ecu so you can do any speed but of course only 70 on the roads , are uk speedo's still really out then, i had to adjust mine by 8% by the thor sld to compensate for my wheels etc, and then it was right (gps etc)
Scooter
i'm pretty sure removing the Trac fuse on a uk will delimit it fully to allow +155 mph.

Jspec Germany
I'm in the market for an SLD. Think the Thor unit is getting the most praise so I'll probably go that route. Is the limit 180 because of rpms/horse power or a fuel cut limit of some sort? 300km/h is my goal. gotta' love living right on the autoban! Seb
I've hit a genuine 160mph with the TRAC fuse in place, which is when the speed limiter came in - it seems it's a 'soft' limiter which allows a little play in the restricted speed. Pulled the TRAC fuse out and got 168mph before I ran out of room. It's the third 7.5 fuse from the passenger wing.
Jspec Germany
I've got an e-mail in to Pete at Thor. Hopefully their SLD will make me good for 300 kmh. Mine's a Jspec so the trac fuse trick doesn't work.
Ian C
Argh can't he remove the limiter completely?! I don't often go that fast but I might at Elvington so I'm investigation my options... -Ian
