RIJ8631
Anyone else bagged any Munroes ?? Completed my second one yesterday. First one was Ben Nevis (30 years ago) and second one was Ben Vane (yesterday). I have NEVER felt physical exhaustion like that ever in my life before - I was just CREAM CRACKERED. However a great sense of achievement , particularly due to the fact that i'm approaching 50 yrs old and am at least 4 stone overweight. However it has given me a great incentive to lose a lot of weight - in order to be in better shape for my next one. Let me know of your own experiences Cheers Ian

merckx
Ben Nevis twice, couldn't see a thing in the clouds. All the big ones in the lake District, five in five days. Scafell Pike and Helvellyn I've done around five times. I've got more sense now.

It wasn't particularly difficult though I'd assumed it was a big hill!
Todd
My dads, on his 2nd run, done them all already (but he's nuts ). Get up to Kyle, some crackers up there, have a go at the five sisters (not what some of you may think )

RIJ8631
What about Marilyn, she had a couple of great peaks that would be a pleasure - not a great hardship

The walkers in the pic are on Striding Edge, the ridge on the right is Swirral Edge. http://www.dayhiker.com/Striding-edge2.jpg
Steviekid
Let me know of your own experiences We went up Ben Nevis a few years ago. It was a great day and you could see for miles at the top. I remember we kept coming to bits when you thought you were near the top, only to come over a crest and discover you were about half way!

RIJ8631
Thanks SupraChick I think that most people could probably capable of managing it - but it does test your determination and willpower to the limit. I do not doubt that if you are reasonably fit ( which I am not nowadays ) most people could do it. You should try it - cause today I feel fantastic Cheers Ian
Class One
Just for info there are no Munros outside of Scotland. There are officially 284 listed with 227 subsidiary Munros.
