lockys96 Posted June 23, 2007 Share Posted June 23, 2007 why is it that my computer will happilly play/buffer videos online 1 week ago, i have broadband, but now i open a video, even the smallest of files, and it has to buffer from 1% all the way to 100% before playing and goes up in 1% each time, (takes about 20mins) even if it plays, it stops, and buffers again, then plays like 4 secs of video. wtf has gone on? it did this a couple of months back, then was fixed, so i cant think whats gone on Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Whitesupraboy2 Posted June 23, 2007 Share Posted June 23, 2007 those speeds are pants. Check your MTU setting AOL requires a lower setting then most ISP's I had this problem at my dad's a year ago. I assume you also ran the exchange congestion checker ? There is no point in messing with settings as mentioned by others above (no disrespect guys). I like AOL as a provider no limits, fast spped when working.... however have you ever rung their support line. It is the most infuriating experience ever!! Have you tried different micro filters? etc.... Si - If you have the aol software installed go to their online help and explain it, its a much nicer experience!
