Jake
so much downforce you will be able to drive it upside down in a tunnel at 150mph I don't suppose any new owner is going to test that claim!

BTW. Apparently the big display this year is "70 Years Of Toyota". Did anyone go today to confirm this?

Chris Wilson
Lets see what times it can turn on a track, if it can beat a modern F3 time (220 ish BHP, buy a used one for 30K) I'll be amazed. For 200K I'd be buying a latish F1 with a proper spares package and a pair of zero miles engines and comprehensively burying that thing in every department. It's a bold design, but doomed to failure I'm afraid. Just what *IS* the engine? Just *WHO* makes the tranaxle? I wouldn't expect to have to dig deep for basic info like that if I was in the market for a 200K toy. It looks pretty though, but if you insist on 2 seats, I'd be spending a huge amount less and buying this, still with the ability to absolutely bury it :

I like it. 3.5l v8 of some sorts... the mag says that it is the fastest road legal they have on their track... by far. It does look pretty, but not worth half of 200K. I was shocked when I read that bit. As said earlier, I expected it be around the ultimas price... Last years pics: wicked... thanks!! grahamc
Like this one Chris? http://www.race-cars.com/carsales/lola/1120758651/1120758651ss.htm Remember though, the this T1 is road legal, only about 500kgs and producing about 550BHP, 0-100-0 in 10 seconds. Yep, I'd live in a tent for a year to have that baby for 6 months. Probably the most sophiticated sports GT race car made, it was a sad day when Bernie effectively banned Group C race cars `cos they were turning faster lap times than F1. I had a conversation in the pub a bit ago (OK, a slurred argument...) about F1 cars, and was amazed most none car nuts had no idea that given free regulations no one would build an F1 , or any race car with open wheels. If money was no object, then hell yes, I would buy one... But sadly it is, and always will be (until I win the lotto, it will happen one day) :D Its is quite shocking... I remember an F1 tye promo show that showed you what they can change... and there was almost nothing... so many limitations... its prbably a similar idea to group b rallying - classed as too dangerous.
