CarlT67
Maybe a stupid question this but I am not sure what these terminologies mean and it gets frustrating when trying to read threads and gain some knowledge, also I'm sure other people are probably thinking the same.... So whats WOT stand for and also what is a short block, is it a engine block that has been machined down to be shorter...? Thanks Carl
ivan
WOT = Wide Open Throttle A short block to my understanding is just the bottom end of an engine, ie, without the heads. (Waits to be corrected by an engineer )

CarlT67
So when people talk about replacing or going for a short block they are replacing the lower of the engine...?
