...just a 'Yank here (actually a native Texan, and no, not affiliated nor a fan of big oil ;)) Thought I'd say howdy (that's hello) and post a few pictures of my cars. I'm currently a Student Naval Flight Officer (USN) stationed in Pensacola, Florida.

Without further ado...

Supra:

1994, 6 speed. Performance wise it's pretty basic -- K&N intake, RMM downpipe, HKS Carbon Ti exhaust, GReddy Profec B boost controller (running 16 psi on 93 octane pump), HKS SSQV blowoff valve. That's about it. I ditched the cheesy CF dash kit (well, most of it at least.) I've got a MOMO e-brake handle waiting to go on as soon as I get a leather boot for the e-brake. I dyed the carpet black myself, and had a leather shop recover the stock tan seats with some black leather and grey suede inserts.

The white car is a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS which originally came with a 402 cubic inch V8. It's a numbers-matching Super Sport, and I've got the original engine sitting in storage, and under the hood now is a 454 (actually it's a .060 over 454, so it's a 468) big block Chevy with a big-ass cam, stock iron heads, a bunch of other stuff, and it makes 557 bhp @ 6200 rpm and 540 lb-ft of torque at 4700, 440 of which is available by 1400 rpm. ;) It's a very fun ride. From a stop light, it's all Chevelle. Low-end and that old school solid axle just likes to hook if you're nice to it. from 60mph though, the turbo and aero of the Supra is too much for the ol' brick to handle. Both are fun rides. :)

Thanks for lookin'! :lalala:

Nice cars.

Ever thought of putting the Chevy engine in the Supra?

This is a joke, riiiiiiiiiiiight? The 454 has no place under the hood of the MKIV. It would totally throw the balance off. I'll just say it like this - going from stock iron heads to aftermarket aluminum heads alone saves 88 lbs. in weight. These old hunks of metal are heavy. The Chevelle tipped the scales at 1853kg back when I weighed it on a truck scale. It's would take a helluva lot of work suspension and chassis-wise to make it even come close to being on par with a new minivan on a slalom course. Two different worlds indeed. :)

Hi (Howdy) and welcome to the forum.

Both great cars  but that 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle looks VERY smart.

Maybe its me, but its nice to see somthing other than Supras from time to time.

What do you want to fly in the Navy?

A nice F/A 18 Super Hornet would look great next to those two cars ;)

I want fast movers (jets of any kind). Currently our jet options are for the Super Hornet. Yes, it might be the US' slowest super-sonic jet, but what a ride. :D

I won't know what I'm flying for quite a few months yet.
