Modball 07 has to be one of the most random weeks of our lifes, myself (John) and Steve agreed to take part after seeing it advertised with a £300 entry fee for 8 countries

1) london

2) Amsterdam

3) Cologne

4) prague

5) vienna

6) Millan

7) Leon

8) Geneva

I have spent the last 8 months prepping my supra so it was ready for the event, but I was let down and the car was not ready in time. It was not looking good for us with only 1 day to organise going, we managed to get steves car on my insurance so we both had cover. Modding steves car and getting stickers made up was the next priority. We also managed to find a couple of hunnies who insisted on coming on the trip with us :D

http://www.promomodelsonline.co.uk decided to come along and see us off at the dome:p

The drive from the dome to Amsterdam has to be one of the best convoys I have ever been in, I have loads of videos of modballers doing flybyes ect which I will send off to be included in the DVD. We arrived in amsterdam around 10pm after a few in the bar, we needed to get into some cafes, after a smoke we headed for macdonalds after munching 3 cheese burgers we left, bumped into burger king next door 19 chicken nuggets later it was time for home in a stonned drunken mess.

The next leg was to arrive at a show ground in Cologne around 12pm, this turned out to be one of the most random days of my life, all 150 cars were on display when the german police arrived and seized all 150 cars, we were told by the organisers that they wanted a 1000 euros of each driver and they will be impounding the cars untill the rally was over due to reports of street racing. It all become a bit out of hand and they then come to a solution of 150 euro fine to each driver and a police escort out of the country, we also had to remove all the stickers and say goodbye to our woman.

Word got around that there was still a way to carry on with the rally and the Brittish side come out in all of us to stick together and do our best to get through it. We was all told to meet at the first service staition after the police escort had finnished this happened to be Brussels. When we arrived in the service station I have never seen so many maps, sat navs and lap tops being used in a car park at 1am. We had met up with a couple of lads in the green golf turbo on the way to amsterdam as well as team trouble so we all desided to make our own way to prague.

after driving till 5am all around france we was 30 miles from the swiss border we decided to be safe park up and sleep in the car for a bit, only to be woken up by the french police  they was fine though just wanted to know what we was doing there ect

This was Hotel D Roadside

Driving through Switzerland was amasing lovely place, we rang others to find out how they were doing only to find out they had turned back at the services an headed straight back into germany. We desided to save 200miles we would cut the corner off germany.

Me mate tim was getting tired in his supra so I offered to drive it so I swapped places with his co pilot and he jumped places in the BMW.

Arriving at the Czech Republic border things took a turn for the worce, with the bmw in front my self driving the supra and the golf boys behind we all got pulled over for a search by the police. with the bmw they just checked their passports then told to leave, so my co pilot after being shouted at had no choice but to go. My self and tim in the supra and Ross and andy in the golf were led into there office where we had our bags searched

the tosser then put his gloves on and began to seach andy and ross to which I found funny until I realised me an tim would be getting the same treatment

all was clear then until he told me to come with him where he began to shine a torch in my eyes then asking me how long ago I took drugs  I said around a week ago to which he done his nut and said no way and asked if I would do a drugs test, I agreed to was taken into the police station and tested with a swab in my mouth, this all come up clean:guitar:

he then said they will be searching the car they had us empty it and then sniffer dogs check it, all this come up clean. He really started getting the hump especially when we started smiling and laughing. they had no choice but to let us go.

Arriving in the hotel at Prague was one of the best welcomes we could have asked for with most of the modballers there it was a time to get hammered and tell the tales of what routes we had taken. We worked out we had done around 1000 miles in 22 hours.

After all that happened in Germany I think it was one of the best things that could have happened as it brought the Modball group closer together.

Milan for me was great the veiws that we have seen is mental, along with one of the best clubs on the trip, it was great to once again meet more modballers and tell tails of the trip along with it being my 25th birthday at 12am.

After a heavy Night in milan we was all feeling it in Lyon so we monged out in the hotel for a while which meant missing the awards and trolly dash outside which im gutted about.

We desided to give the motor show in geneva a miss as the car was not stickered up any more there did not seem much point, steve was shattered and feeling unwell too.

Myself and team trouble (John and Tim) desided to spend the day out side in a pub getting pist, later on that day we met up with steve had some munch

We headed back to the hotel to get ready for a club. me and John from team trouble ended up getting stuck in a lift for 30 mins which was one of the funnyest bits of the trip we had the engineer on the phone asking where we was in french, john was screaming, there was old ladys out side trying to calm us down not realising we were sitting down inside with 2 bottles of corrona :D

image

eventually the engineer arrived, broke the door open and we had to climb out the lift as it was stuck between floors

The drive to calais was great with around 10 of us in convoy all doing flybyes and generally having a laugh :eyebrows: also bumped into some french bird on the way home :innocent:

seems strange it was only a week seemed like months, has been one of the best holidays for a while, big thanks to John and all the crew involved with organising the event was great to hear how much was raised for charity, also all the people who made modball what it was, made some great friends from it.

Sorry for all the spelling and grammer

Yeah it was a good couple of days, well for me anyway. Just cudnt take the risk of the car being crushed.

Are you making the Mini meet dude?? Looks like myself, in the soop, along with Dan and John who were in the other Black soop are going down. Should be a good night if everyone is out on the piss.
