Homer
This is a question for you single turbo experts... Should the 'Auto' or 'Manual' option be used? Just some background: With it set to 'Auto' I was expereincing some low boost issues after sitting in traffic for some time, or after cruising. Basically the boost would shoot straight to 0.9 or 1.0 bar, then hold for a moment, then go straight to 1.4 bar, problem was it wasn't hitting 1.4 until 1round 5k rpm. Ryan then changed it to manual, made some adjustements and it now goes smoothly to 1.4 bar (and rather quickly too!). It was my understanding that the Auto option is normally used, what have others found?
AshBhp
I all way used manual setting, this allows the boost controller to give maximum boost response.
Jake
I was of the understanding that manual mode was preferable because the Gain worked better and was less likely to spike. The two tuners I asked about it both told me that - ...although one of those was TJ
Homer
Thanks guys. Maybe I got mixed up with the TT's where auto is preferable.... Perhaps a little off topic but does anyone know why manual mode works and not auto?
Branners
I believe in AUTO mode it will try to learn the best boost settings so it may take a little while for it to settle down as it has to test what works best. How long was it in AUTO mode for? JB
