Sheefa
Great advice Chilly. That's exactly my moto. My other idea was to actually go in as a Gunner if unsuccessful and work my way up. At least that way I can truly build a bond with the guys and establish some mutual respect. I'm not a tit, I don't look down on people and I most certainly will be giving credit to my future men where it's due. Great advice bud. Thanks again all. Still pretty achy today man! dangerous brain
I would advise against going in as one of the lads if you fail first time out. I'd reapply as if you go in as one of the lads you'll never want to switch sides and become an officer. Its often way more difficult to come up from the ranks as the guys that then work for you think of you as a turncoat and the people interviewing you for the job expect way more from someone already in than they do outside applicants. SupraAyf
Greg, Good luck mate - you'll be fine! Don't forget to bust your bollocks on the obstacle course and physical tests, and make sure you overlook a copy of the Economist Magazine in order to get an appreciation of current affairs! Don't blag it in interviews or discussions and ensure that you take a measured approach during group chats! You'll be tested against certain 'map' scenarios so ensure that you calculate all of the map measurements and scenario details before you attempt to come up with a final plan. Think logical and in order, ensuring that you give firm reasons why you discounted certain options. We prepared to have 3 courses of action (plans) for each scenerio set! Brief objectively and with confidence. Any presentation that you deliver should be well structured (start, main body, analysis, recommendations and conclusion). Best of luck good mate, Andrew;)
