fastisnice
THanks a lot for the info... So i take they wont fit right??most of the details are same apart from the rod length?
Digsy
If the "dome volume" is the piston bowl volume, then the compression ratio will be too low with the Supra pistons in the MR2. Mechanically, it looks like they will fit,
fastisnice
I hope they fit!, because my friend has got an MR2 turbo and i have a set of spare JE pistons....
Digsy
Well, if the compression ratio is wrong he'll be well p*ssed off when all his power dissappears. On the plus side, he won't get any det, even if he runs on 2-star.
Chris Wilson
No t suitable, the compression (pin) height is quite different, the Supra pistons will be 40 thou furtyher down the bore than they should be. He'll lose all sembalnce of squish, and combined with the increased dish volume his compression will be very low. Use them as boat anchors, JE pistons are good for that application
dandan
A spare set of JE pistons? New?
fastisnice
I got 4 though whoever gets them will have to buy 2 more, but they are in very good condition.THey have been checked properly by specialist machine and they are fine-I can let them go cheap as well
