Happier with sky insurance now

Okay...

Now I'm a happy camper... All in all I got it for £540, which isn't perfect but given the various points raised here... I can live with it.

More importantly it means that the single aerotop can share the policy when it is on the road.

Bonus points for customer service...

do you want the title changed to 'now slightly more happy with Sky'?

Unfortunately Sky do have to make money, they cannot always quote the cheapest when you phone up as they wont know what the cheapest is. Try calling Direct Line and get a quote from them, then call Sky...then go back to Direct Line and ask them to match it and see what happens.

If people can give Sky the chance to match or beat a quote then at least they have done their best.

I myself will be calling A-Plan this year just for a comparison as thats how these things work.

Seems a very familiar story as per many other members (off forum).

Typical insurance bartering. Does my head in.

I you read the whole thread you'll see that the only reason the premium was reduced was becasue he asked to reduce what he was covered for. If you want less cover, it will cost you less. :)

Jb is exactly right. Obviously I would rather everyone just paid the price we originally asked for, but the end of the day you guys want to pay as little as possible for your policies. It's the same in any industry if you want to get the best rate you need to shop around and sometime an element of negotiation is necessary.

Damn straight, everyone wants to pay the least possible... and everyone in business wants to make the most possible. The trick is the balance between them both...
