Mike_Mac
Hi, As per title really. I was accelerating down a slip-road today and there was a quick high-pitched hissing noise just as the engine went through 4000 revs. It happens every time when revving past that precise engine speed. It also does it when stationary too. No other signs or symptoms. I'm slightly concerned, but I'm hoping its a hose or pipe leak? If so any thoughts as to how to narrow it down? Thanks in advance. AndrewOW
Sounds like my problem. I would've thought it was a split hose. Mine just wheezes loudly at any boost, so I think mine's a big obvious split! No power. Horrible! Hope you get it sorted easily.
TrickTT
If its only happening above 4K rpm it must be second turbo related. I'd start by checking the 2 concertina hoses that run parallel with the camshaft cover.
