Still have no idea what this thread is saying:d

It's saying that in the last few months the level has gone downhill at an accelerated rate, with illiterate and juvenile posts.

Am I the only one to notice the decay?

Well in the last year it has certainly got much worse.

It's the acceleration of dowhillness that saddens me.

At this rate in the next couple of years there will be nothing but dyslectic grumbles and phonetic alphanumeric combinations.

I've noticed this over the last few months too. Okay so i haven't been a member as long as some on here but its definitely noticeable. the newbie section is constantly being used.

I have also noticed a lot of snobbery on here lately, and have to admit that i've occasionally found myself being a part of it. but i see myself as part of the old school members i.e. i joined when it was a well spoken forum of enthusiasts, not a place for chavs to hang out and buy cheap cars etc... i guess we're all after the same goal - to get this place back into a reasonable and respectable manner again :search:

just my two pennies worth.....

Nothing to do with snobbery. This club was originally founded with members that :

a) Did not hang out at McDonalds

b) Did not use the the word "init" or "m8"

c) Did not drive up and down a High Street, arm out of the window and music blaring out .... "thud-thud-thud"

d) Were more interested in the performance and technical aspect of the car .. rather than just bolting useless widgets to it.

However, with the Supra market plummeting. It means a powerful car finds its way in the hands of a 20yr old Ex-Saxo driver. The first guy that looked at my car - when it was for sale .. incidently drove a Saxo 1.4 ;)

No1 Boy Racer. Flat4. Paul Kent (slow dog). All 3 are examples of the fcuk-wits that join.

maybe snobbery was the wrong word. but, although it pi**es me off to see chavs hanging around the place, if i was 20 and could suddenly afford a supra then id get one too. im not saying they shouldnt get one, more that the chav speak needs to be stopped somehow ;)

Lately I've found myself several times writing a response and then thinking 'sod this' and *not* actually posting it.

That's because it would be offensive to the fellow member* without adding something of value to the Knowledge Base.

I just cannot avoid sarcasm when I've wasted valuable time reading low-IQ ramblings. Text language just aggravates it.

Either I'm an old fart or we've had a chavanche

I'm using the term loosely here

You may be shocked to hear this but I also type a lot of replies only to close the browser window instead of clicking submit, similar reasons to the above and a concern that the huge level of sarcasm pouring out of my fingers might not be of benefit to some readers who don't understand me.

I do worry that I might offend new people once in a while and some of the earlier comments posted by RedM are quite valid, we need to steer people into conforming to our wishes rather than hitting them with big hammers so that they will leave. Sometimes these morons can be trained, we need to give each of them a chance before we finally send them back to the "cruwz bordz".

Edit: At the end of the day they always have the dicklectsik defence card to play if they are clever enough.

...quoth the man with 16000+ posts...:D

Yeah, and it's not productive anyway.

It's like trying to keep back the tide with your bare hands. Ain't gonna happen.

At least the tide rushes back eventually, I'm not sure this m8-infestation will go away.

Locusts:Pling:

I left the Vaux boards because of this dumbing-down.

Where to go now?:search:

Ditto, just now in fact, couldn't be arsed dealing with the fan club that no doubt would have gotten on their high horse. Maybe I should just hit the submit button more though, would make some threads a lot more interesting :)
