Paul
My old runabout, a mint condition Rover 420 ('T' series I think) has developed a fault today for my brother who I sold it to:( Been running sweet, no problems at all then all of a sudden today he turns into his road and it just cuts out? Not started since, it seems electrical, all dash lights come on but no clicks or anything, dead in the engine bay. The breakdown bloke checked a few fuses, broke one trying to remove it (didn't realise it was held by two screws:blink: as he pulled at it with pliers) we replaced that. He also bridge across the starter and had it turning over so alls well there. His conclusion was the immobilser? Says it's buggered and had shut all circuits down? Any help appreciated, has anyone had similar on any make/type of car ?

steb9780
Just a double check there's a fuel re-set button behind the centre console, check that it's up (I think it's up). I don't think it will be that though as this usually trips if you have a bump etc.
